Las Vegas Victims’ Fund Donation

Blast Zone is a Nevada-based company, and many members of the Blast Zone family are proud Nevadans. As such, we were shocked and upset by the news that tragedy had struck our southern neighbors in Las Vegas. In light of this devastating news, we were eager to contribute to the Fundraiser to benefit those affected by the Las Vegas attack.

We urge anyone looking for ways to help the victims and their families to donate to this cause. Any amount helps! All funds raised go directly to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund – a project of the Direct Impact Fund, an independent, registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

If you’d like to join us in supporting the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund visit the GoFundMe campaign here: https://www.gofundme.com/dr2ks2-las-vegas-victims-fund. You can also visit any Nevada State Bank branch to make a donation to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund.

If you’d prefer to mail in a donation, you can make your donation check out to “Las Vegas Victims Fund” and mail your contribution to the following address:

Las Vegas Victims Fund
1000 N Green Valley Pkwy, #440-184
Henderson, NV 89074

If a monetary donation is not possible, you can also get in contact with United Blood Services to schedule an appointment to donate blood. If you are in the Las Vegas area and are missing a loved one, please call 1-800-536-9488.

The Las Vegas community has seen a tremendous outpouring of support from folks all across the nation and all around the world.

Observing the way that people band together to help one another in times of crisis continues to be a small source of comfort during these trying times. Tens of thousands of people have made their voices heard and are standing up to hate and standing together to support the victims and their families during this time. We’re proud to be a part of that, and urge anyone interested to donate and share!

Blast Zone Supports Walk MS!

Walk MS Stronger Together
Together, we become a powerful force. Together, we will end MS forever.

Blast Zone is a proud supporter of the National MS Society and Walk MS, an organization dedicated to changing the world for everyone affected by MS. The National MS Society is the largest private funder of MS research in the world. They also help to raise awareness, funds, and community support through their Walk MS events. These events draw in about 300,000 people each year, collectively.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. There isn’t a cure for MS, yet.

However, there are now FDA-approved medications that have been shown to modify and delay the course of MS. Advances in treating and understanding MS are made every year, and progress in research to find a cure is very encouraging. Thanks to the National MS Society, as well as participants and supporters of their Walk MS events, people affected by MS have access to more life-changing services than ever.

When you participate in Walk MS, you are helping create a world free of multiple sclerosis.

This is one of the reasons that our continued patronage of the National MS Society’s Walk MS is so important to us. They’ve been walking since 1988 and to-date have raised more than $970 million to drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing services, and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. They say that when you participate in Walk MS, you are helping create a world free of multiple sclerosis.

We look forward to continuing our ongoing support of this worthy cause.  We encourage anyone interested in supporting the National MS Society to donate here. You can learn more about Multiple sclerosis, options for managing symptoms, treatments, and healthcare answers by visiting the National MS Society’s website.

MS Walk Donation

Blast Zone is pleased to support the Walk MS Foundation, a charity walk series that takes place in over 550 locations with more than 330,000 people participating annually.

“We’ve been walking since 1988 and to date have raised more than $920 million to drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most. When you participate in Walk MS, you help ensure no one ever has to be diagnosed again.”

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. It is thought to be an immune-mediated disorder, in which the immune system incorrectly attacks healthy tissue in the CNS.

“Ending multiple sclerosis for good will take all of us. It’s why Walk MS matters so much. And it’s why you matter so much. Walk MS helps us team up with friends, loved ones and co-workers to change the world for everyone affected by MS.”

The wonderful people working with the Walk MS Foundation address the challenges of each person affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, collaborating with MS organizations around the world, and providing programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.

We’re thrilled to continue our ongoing support of this deserving cause.  We encourage anyone interested in getting involved in the fight against MS to donate or volunteer!

Movember Foundation Donation – Awareness and Research for Men’s Health

Movember Donation Blastzone
Check out what our November Donation is for!

We are proud to support The Movember Foundation, with a donation to Ned 2.0’s Movember campaign.  The Movember Foundations is an organization that is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for four of the biggest health issues faced by men. Since 2003, The Movember Foundation has raised millions of dollars and has funded over 1,000 programs focusing on the awareness, research, and prevention of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity in men.

By prioritizing the funding of four of the biggest health issues faced by men, The Movember Foundation ensures that their investments have a significant long-term, global impact.

The Movember Foundation works year-round with their global men’s health partners and academic and clinical institutions to effect change. In particular, this organization focuses on:

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in the US.

Testicular Cancer

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15-34 in the US.

Poor Mental Health

Around 1 in 4 adults in the US will experience a mental health problem in a given year.

Physical Inactivity

Around half (53.8%) of American men meet the federal guidelines for physical activity.

.
On average, across the world, men die 6 years earlier than women. The Movember foundation is working to fund breakthrough solutions that produce real improvements in the lives of those dealing with these health issues. They aim to give more life to our fathers, sons, brothers, and friends. You don’t have to be a man to care about men’s health.
.
If you’d like to learn more about how you can get involved with the mo’ movement, visit Movember.com or donate to the cause on our friend Ned 2.0’s Movember campaign!

Make A Wish Donation

Make A Wish and Blast Zone make a great team!
Make A Wish and Blast Zone make a great team!

Blast Zone is honored to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. The Make-A-Wish vision is to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. We partnered with Make-A-Wish Illinois to aid in granting a wish for a 4-year-old boy from Sycamore, IL. He wished for a backyard makeover and we were able to help make that wish a reality with the contribution of a Pirate’s Bay Play Park.

In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 37 minutes. At Make-A-Wish® they believe a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides them and inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve.

Since 1985, Make-A-Wish Illinois has granted more than 13,000 wishes to children across the state with the support of volunteers, donors, and other supporters.

Every year, nearly 1,200 children in Illinois are newly diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Make-A-Wish® believes that wishes are an important part of the overall care and treatment of these children. Each wish offers the opportunity for a joyous, life-changing experience.

There are so many ways that you can help this organization continue to make wishes come true. Please visit Wish.org or Illinois.Wish.org for options to donate, volunteer, or to help raise funds.

Boston Museum Donation Charity Blastzone

Boston Children’s Museum Auction

We’re happy to support the upcoming Boston Children’s Museum’s annual “Wonder Ball,” which takes place on November 14th, with a donation of a Magic Castle Bounce House for auction.

The Wonder Ball is their biggest fundraiser of the year and the auction is critical to their ability to continue to provide innovative exhibits and programs to children throughout the Commonwealth.

Check out their article on the power of play.  We agree, and of course Inflatable Bouncers and Water Parks are great physical play devices, encouraging motor development, helping kids develop the ability to control their body’s movements, locomotion, and complex sport skills, as well as social interaction and more.
