Hi Lisa, There are outlets to keep the water from "pooling" in the splash zone of the Rainforest Rapids Commercial. The item is not designed to retain water, and once it is wet we recommend turning the hose down to the point where only enough water is coming out of the sprayers to keep the slides a little moist.
