"Outdoor use," not to be confused with "outdoor Use ONLY," is a rating in product certification for products with cords that are rated for outdoor use and/or built-in GFCI. Outdoor cords have durable covers to protect from weather and damage. You can use an outdoor-rated extension cord inside; however, using indoor power cords outside could lead to overheating or exposure to moisture.
