Unfortunately we do not have the exact amount of water that it would take to fill this pool; it does hold about 6 inches of water when you fill it up. We typically recommend turning on the slide sprayers and allowing the run-off water to collect naturally, creating a shallow splash area without using excessive amounts of water.

Hi, In order to comply with various safety regulations, all Blast Zone residential Inflatables have an outlet cutout that will keep water levels at a maximum of approximately 6" depth. However, due to varying changes in landscape/lawn elevation, water may pool up in low spots, and should be accounted for when setting up and monitoring use.

Hi, Typically residential inflatables are suitable for younger ages. The commonly listed range is 3-10. Blast Zone residential inflatables handle users up to 100 lbs each, so if the user is under 100 lbs, it is more an issue of whether the product appeals to that particular user.
Hi, New safety requirements require water to not fill the splash area past a certain height, or the product will be considered a "pool" and will not comply with regulatory bodies. The reason for the water outlet is to avoid drowning hazards. The lowered "outlet area" is part of Blast Zone's commitment to the safety of its users, and applies to all Blast Zone products manufactured in 2013.
Hi, The user guidelines for the Blast Zone Pirate's Bay are as follows: 100lbs/user max; 1 user on slide; 2 users in bouncer; 3 users in splash area; 1 user climbing ramp. Total weight on slide portion: 200 lbs, total weight in bouncer: 300 lbs.

The Pirate Bay may be used dry, but leans more toward the wet side, as the slides work far better wet, and some water in the base stabilizes the inflatable. Younger kids in the 3-6 range will still be happy with the bouncer, tunnel and a dry slide, but older kids tend to enjoy the water features more.

Water parks are not meant to hold any substantial water, and do not retain water overnight. However, for further tips on saving water, please see the below article. The biggest tip is simply to turn the hose spigot down to use as little spray as absolutely necessary. The Pirate Bay has a substantial splash area, and it's great to hear your commitment to minimizing water use.
We don't recommend leaving inflatables outside for any prolonged period.

You do not need a hose at all times. If you're using this inflatable without water, you don't need a hose at all.

This inflatable is better when used with water, as the water element helps to lubricate the slide and the weight of the water in the splash area helps to anchor the inflatable.
As long as it is properly anchored, this inflatable can be used dry, but in general, it is more fun with water.

You'll need to dry this inflatable thoroughly and store it after each use. Leaving it out during the summer may seem easier, but leaving the inflatable exposed to the elements while it's not in use can destroy the inflatable.

The Sandbags are available fora weighted anchoring option. The anchoring stakes do come included with the inflatable, but if you are setting up indoors, or somewhere where the anchoring stakes wouldn't work, the sandbags are a great alternative.

Though a level surface would be ideal, we understand that this is not possible for everyone. If your slope is not too extreme, it should be fine. We do recommend setting the slide up so that the water does not pool up against the base of the slide. It is better to have the outer rim of the splash area to be downhill from the slide.
Please use common-sense safety practices at all times. If your location seems unsafe for any reason, do not set up your inflatable there.

What To Expect From Your Inflatable
Blast Zone Inflatables use a constant flow of air, fed from the included blower. As air is pumped in, some escapes through the seams in the material. This creates a stronger inflatable with ideal air pressure, so your Bouncer or Water Park supports as much playing as your kids want to do. Escaping air is all a part of the process.

You Just Need a Garden Hose
Blast Zone Inflatable Water Parks and Slides include a sprayer system that attaches to a garden hose, keeping the slides just slippery enough to slide. A Flow restrictor reduces water use. You can also adjust the flow yourself by adjusting the spigot. The sprayers only require a minimal amount of water to maintain flow on the slides, and Splash Areas have water outlets to keep water levels no more than 6" for safety.

Fast, Frustration-Free Setup
Blast Zone inflatables are up and ready for play in a matter of minutes - with most taking less than 2 minutes to inflate. To set up your bouncer or water park, simply unroll it, hook the inflation tube to the blower, stake it down and turn the blower on. To take your inflatable down, just turn off the motor and it deflates on its own. Units roll up to the size of a medium to large sleeping bag and can be stored in the supplied storage case.
