Hi Jason, This Castle include a detachable shade screen. For safety and ease-of-use, we have moved to mesh shade screens instead of vinyl. The provide better air circulation, do not act as a "sail" in wind, and are easier to attach and detach. Sincerely, Blast Zone Support
